Getting to the Workshop Location

The workshop will be held at the Student Activity Center of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Please proceed to the SAC Salons on the third floor of Barnhardt Student Activity Center (also known as Halton Arena -- see Building #35 and callout on the UNCC campus map below). Participants are advised to park their cars on the Visitors Parking Deck #1.

Charlotte, one of the major cities in North Carolina is conveniently accessible by several modes of transportation.

By Air

The closest international airport is Charlotte/Douglas International Airport (code CLT). The conference site is approximately 20 miles distance from the airport. Courtesy vehicles are available for most area hotels and motels, alternatively taxis can be used to reach the conference venue.
If you are using a rental car, leave the terminal on the Airport Freeway Road and go straight to a traffic light. Enter the left lane for the exit to the Billy Graham Parkway North to I-85. Stay in the right lane on Billy Graham Parkway through two traffic lights. Immediately at the second traffic light turn right noto I-85 North toward Concord. Follow this road for approx. 11 miles to exit 45 (Harris Blvd. East) and for another mile to the exit marked UNC Charlotte / Highway 49. At the bottom of the exit ramp turn left onto highway 49, the campus is one mile further on on the left hand side.

By Car

From north of Charlotte via I-85

Take exit 45A (Harris Boulevard). Merge onto Harris Boulevard, follow this road for 1 mile to the exit for UNC Charlotte/Highway 49. At the bottom of the exit ramp turn left onto highway 49, the campus is one mile further on on the left hand side.

From north of Charlotte via I-77

Take exit 18 (Harris Boulevard). Turn left onto Harris Boulevard and follow this road for 7 miles to the exit for UNC Charlotte/Highway 49. At the bottom of the exit ramp turn left onto highway 49, the campus is one mile further on on the left hand side.

From south of Charlotte via I-85

Take exit 45A (Harris Boulevard). Turn right onto Harris Boulevard and follow this road for 7 miles to the exit for UNC Charlotte/Highway 49. At the bottom of the exit ramp turn left onto highway 49, the campus is one mile further on on the left hand side.

From south of Charlotte via I-77

Take I-77N to I-85N and follow above directions via I-85.

From east of Charlotte via US 74

Turn right onto Harris Boulevard and travel 9 miles to the exit for UNC Charlotte/Highway 49. At the bottom of the exit ramp turn left onto highway 49, the campus is one mile further on on the left hand side.

From Concord area via US 29

Turn left onto Harris Boulevard and follow this road for 1/2 mile to the exit for UNC Charlotte/Highway 49. At the bottom of the exit ramp turn left onto highway 49, the campus is one mile further on on the left hand side.
